Do
life schools serve the prevention of addiction
and violence? If so, why?
No
mother and no father want their child to
“slide” into something that it can’t get
out of. The more conscious a human is in their
childhood, the less they can be manipulated by
the media, drugs, outer group-pressure, put up
goals or other temptations of today’s age.
The life school supports the development of
self-consciousness. Natural self
consciousness is the result, just as clarity,
security and self-confidence. Someone who has
found meaning and fulfilment within themselves,
don’t need drugs, in order to escape into
the world of pretence.
What
do you do at the life school?
The
life school is not a swotting factory, but a
playful reminder of that, what the child has
known for a long time. It’s all about “the
way inside,” so that the life vision and
self-confidence don’t “get lost” along
the way.
Fantasy
journeys strengthen the imagination and
produce balance, relaxation and harmony
simultaneously.
Exercises
that support the sense of balance, have a
positive effect on all the other senses and
bring us to our own centre, as for example
balancing, touch-exercises with closed eyes
etc. –
which in turn encourages consciousness,
through being present, aware.
Simple
exercises that promote concentration and
awareness, also promote a conscious awareness
– and this in turn leads to the learning
process becoming easier, because all the inner
senses are simultaneously taking part.
Performance
in school and exam results are improved almost
“automatically” through the increased
safekeeping and attention.
When
children can feel their own centre and are
deeply rooted within it, they can
“re-mind” themselves of it at any time. In
this way they can easily find the entrance to
their inner “relaxed atmosphere” in any
given situation and release themselves –
independently – from pressure to (perform).
Learning blocks and fear disappear!
Wouldn’t
it make more sense to reform the existing
schools, instead of putting more
“workload” onto the children, who already
have a full appointment diary anyway.
Somebody
said once: “To educate a child with a book
is good, only, each child needs a different
book.” The school system is ponderous and
full of regulations. Many teachers are as
stiff as their teaching schedules, or they
must adhere to them.
We
need a fresh wind, in order to “release the
schools into freedom”. Maybe the life
schools are forerunners, because once they
have proven themselves everywhere, it will
become quickly obvious, what advantages they
offer.
